Above is a script I have broken down into the segments and telling you what goes into a script and how to annotate one. I have written a small description explaining what each part of a script is.
Below is a ten minute short, its more or less a five minutes, I do not know what it is like it script form but I found it a very funny short, it came 3rd prize in the tropfest (a competition in Australia ). It is about a guy that finds a girl attractive and to win her heart he makes her a flower made from balloons. but another guy decides that he likes her too and he makes a better flower and gives it to her, this starts and all out balloon making war to win her heart through balloons. The keep sending items to her but when they turn it into a fight scene I really liked the idea which caused me to think about imagination. Thinking about imagination caused me to think of the movie ; The never-ending story and how the character goes into the book himself and imagines himself as the hero of the story.
Another short I liked because of the dialogue used and how they made of comedy of it towards the end, I liked how they made it seem that a guy was nervous about meeting a girl and she goes up to him in the hope of hooking up with him but it turns out they are both working and end up charging each other.
Audience research
The audience research was pretty easy as I want my audience to be 10-15 year old as there is some violence but also to show that it can be watched by any age as it is about a son demanding that his father spends more time with him as he feels left out and neglected by his father because he works all the time, I did pitch this to my fellow class mates and they loved the idea of it , it wouldn't be able to get made because there is too much to go through before it can be filmed as well as the special effects and getting hold of all the scenes.
Theme locations and Character
Where I would film it is Caister castle because I would need a castle with woods nearby which hemsby has some woods that I could use, I would need to get permission from the police as it is a public landmark. I got my character from the movie The Never-ending story because it is about a boy who starts to read a book, but he puts himself as the main character and goes through the book and we see what he is imagining while reading the book.
<-- Casiter castle

The never-ending story ---------------------------->
The never-ending story is exactly what I want my movie to be about because it fits the fantasy genre that I want to use as-well as the theme and location because I wanted a murky swampy environment for the main character to go through. The theme is about imagination, I love it because I based my script off of this movie. The character fits the description on the main character in the book, the same age and the same color hair etc.
