Preparing material for editing

We start by uploading our footage onto the system , its starts off by being called private but you can rename it to the date you filmed to make it easier to know whats on the footage file. As seen to the left


We then transport the footage onto the memory in the movies folder, Make a new folder and call it your advert name for example our advert was called Marmite advert so we put a folder in the movies folder and called it marmite ad as seen on the picture to the right.


Next we upload the footage to Premier Pro because that is going to be our editing software so we are able to put the clip together how we like it. After it is uploaded to Premier Pro you rename the file to the day you shot the footage.

And after that you are ready to start editing, that is pretty much what you have to do to start editing.
